Pros Reviews

    • The pouch is just that, a pouch for your system. Enough to keep it clean and protected. Not sure how much protection it will provide if your PSV falls, but why would you let it fall in the first place?

    • The screen protector and cleaning cloth (I can’t say too much because I don’t have my PSV yet). The screen protector seems like it will be a simply enough install, I am getting the HORI silicone protector and it looks like it will be compatible. The cleaning cloth is a lot bigger than I expected, so that’s good. Other than that, it’s just your typical lint free cleaning cloth.
    • The earphones. Actually, reading some of the other reviews, I was expecting complete crap. While it does feel pretty cheap, the sound quality is actually not that bad. Some EQ adjusting on your iPod/iPhone/Android/etc, and they are definitely keepers. I actually plan on using them now that I have tested them out.
    • Game/Memory card case. I like this case, sure, it’s something else you have to carry, but it’s not too big and it fits 8 games and 2 memory cards. The 4GB memory card will be good enough for me just for basic game saves, and I have the 32GB and the 8GB that will come with the Launch Bundle. 1 in the system, and the other 2 in the case. Perfect for me.

Cons Reviews

  • First, the pocket pouch. This pouch is made from soft, thin canvas with minimal padding and I doubt it is going to protect the Vita from bumps and drops. It’s probably effective against dust and transport scratches, nothing else. It’s a slip-on case, almost like a cloth envelope, and I think it is meant to protect the Vita if you decide to put it in your pant pocket. But unfortunately, with the Vita’s size, that is not even feasible. Most people will probably carry around the Vita inside a messenger bag or a backpack, among other items and I am afraid this soft pouch won’t provide sufficient protection against the constant bumping and shuffling within a bag. A better case for mobility will certainly be a harder case or something with thicker padding like Sony’s own $20 Travel Pouch, the slim Sony Traveller Case or even the $15 Hori PS Vita Hard Case. I don’t know but Sony should have probably just included this case for free with an actual PS Vita unit purchase since you could find similar cases like this for $5.
  • Next, the earbuds. I am sorry but the earbuds in this kit are almost like the 2 dollar cheapos you could find in the pharmacy check out lanes. Thin cables, cheap plastic, horrendous looks. They don’t certainly look like the “super-light, high-quality, in-ear design PS Vita Headphones” they describe them to be and definitely not the 20$ official PS Vita earbuds. I don’t think it has the mic that’s pictured in the 20$ ones. I bet you could get better headphones, even Sony branded ones, for less than $10 or if you have spare earphones lying around (which I am pretty sure everyone does) just use those instead of these bargain bin buds.
  • Now, the card game case. I won’t find any use for this game case in this kit since it won’t even fit in the provided pocket pouch if you have the Vita in it. I certainly would not bother lugging a PS Vita and a separate case for my game cards. If you get the aforementioned Sony Travel Pouch, that will have built-in game card compartments inside so that would render this item rather redundant.
  • The included screen protector in this kit I could probably use since aside from the screen, it will protect a portion of the right button side of the Vita. But you only get one. You could get a 2 pack or even front and back shields for less than 10 bucks. (*Edit If you read one comment on this review, someone provided info that the right portion of the screen protector is just there so you could line it up with the screen better.)The cleaning cloth is your standard throwaway variety you could get anywhere for cheap. It is cool, though, because it has the PS Vita logo printed on it.
PS Vita Card 4GB
  • And then there’s the 4 gig memory card. What could I say about this but it is your standard tiny PS Vita Memory Card. You could get this for $20 now or double it for $30 and frankly, like the pocket pouch, they should have included at least a special 2 GB card with the wifi only PS Vita unit.

PlayStation Vita Cradle

Pros Reviews

  • The Vita Cradle is a very basic idea and is one of those accessories that some may feel “ripped off” by (for another example, see the PS3 vertical stand that many complain about it) and to tell you the truth.. it’s not for everyone. For those who would use this type of accessory though, the cradle is a must-have.My first reaction to it was “Wow, this is light!” – I previously had a “Hori Portable Display Stand” for the PSP and loved it.. and using the new Vita Cradle I’m even more impressed. The PSP stand was much larger (which was fine for a desk, but not really portable). It also weighed quite a bit more and had no electronics (it was literally a molded block of plastic to rest the PSP on). With that said, it worked great as a display stand for either storing the PSP when not in use, while charging, or for watching movies.
  • The Vita cradle improves on this idea by adding actual electronics to it (the center of the stand has a USB attachment that the vita rest on). The rear of the cradle has a Vita USB input and Line Out audio jack. You will need your own PS Vita USB Cable to use this stand for charging or syncing. While it has the ports on it, the cables are not included. It’s also worth noting that the USB input on the back requires a USB cable (it would have been nice if they used a more standard cable design – something like a Mini USB cable – so that you can use your vita cable as a spare or to take with you for times you might need to use it (charging the vita on the go, etc..)
  • I was very impressed with just how light the stand is – despite having some electronics in it, it feels incredibly light (about the weight of an empty Vita game case). One problem with the PSP stands were that they were quite heavy — not a problem for sitting on your desk, but you can’t really take it “on the go” with you. With the smaller profile of the cradle, it can also easily fit into your bag (I was able to fit it into the official PS Vita Travel Pouch without issues, placing it in the “accessories” side where the game cards, AC adapter and USB cables would normally go). There is still room to hold a PS vita.
  • Quality is OK – I think it can take a couple drops, but with the light material used I can also see it getting scratched/showing wear, or even snapping pieces off if dropped onto a hard (concrete) floor from more than a few feet. The front design looks very nice (it’s a brushed metal look with a Playstation logo in the center) – much nicer than the (more functional) PS Vita stands out there that feature speakers. The front panel is also covered with a clear plastic. The back Line Out output has a 3.5mm connector (standard headphone-sized) and can be used to either plug headphones into it (unlikely situation) or connect it to an external set of speakers (more likely situation). This makes it great for movie viewing (it’s also angled just for that purpose!). Whether you choose to connect it to a set of external speakers or not, you have a much nicer hands-free view of the screen (which will help with movie watching or listening to music while still being able to easily see/access the screen).
  • While the material it’s made of is very light, I’m OK with that simply because it makes the unit more portable (if you’re watching movies on it, there isn’t too much reason to watch it at your desk at home when you have easy access to other video sources (computer/blu-ray players/dvd players/large TV’s/PS3′s) – if you’re watching movies on it, you’re probably away from the home. If that’s the case, you don’t want to carry a stand as big, heavy and bulky as the vita itself.. so this design really works nicely.

PS Vita coupons and reviews

Up to 200 customers give reviews for this device. Most people rate it 5 stars. You can read some popular reviews of Amazon customers :

There are enough Vita reviews out there to last a lifetime, but I didn’t want to review this until I really gave it a thorough test run. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but for once Sony’s PR hype is actually true. This thing is a monster and the potential is frightening. For me, the launch line-up is stellar! The graphics are amazing and the Oled screen has thoroughly convinced me to hold off upgrading T.V.’s until an Oled T.V. is affordable. Let me simply touch on some of my thoughts…..

Touch Screen / Touch features

The front touch screen is amazing. This thing is super sensitive, it can even read mutiple touches at the same time. It makes navigation a snap! The back touch pad is a sorry gimmick. I hope that developers forget it’s there. It feels clunky, unresponsive and is difficult to use when playing. This isn’t a big deal though, because most games don’t seem to use it all that much.

Controls

The d-pad is exceptional! It is so much better than the PSP’s. I can actually enjoy fighting games, without having to attach an add-on d-pad! The sticks really work well and are a lot more useable than the PSP. The triggers and the buttons work exceptionally. This feels like a Dualshock controller, in some ways better in fact! The only downside is you don’t have L2 / R2 and L3 and R3 buttons. This isn’t a big deal really, not sure they are needed on most games anyways. The Start and Select buttons are too recessed for their own good. I find it pretty hard to push them without using the end of my fingernail, small complaint though.
Graphics -
This thing has amazing graphics. It is far above the PS2 and fairly close to the PS3. I was shocked how much Rayman origins looks like the console version. The OLED screen is super bright and the colors are absolutely vivid! The screen size is very large for a handheld The screen has some reflecting, but nothing terrible and certainly not like the early PSP.

Battery Life

It is actually really really good! I wish my phone had this much battery life. You can really play 5 hours straight without a recharge!!!

Memory Cards

This is a definate con. No onboard memory in this day an age is sad. Charging $100 for a 32 gb card? Unforgiveable!!! Sony can give you whatever canned statement they want about piracy being the issue. It is total crap, this thing will get hacked soon enough, with or without the proprietary card.

Mutitasking

This thing can do multitasking better than the PS3! At any point you can press the PS button and navigate. You can run mulitiple programs and still not have to exit your game! The layout is simple, but effective.

Content Manager

This think makes it easy to transfer your files between the PS vita to your Pc and Ps3. It is limited though, you won’t have the ability to use this like a mass storage device, but it does make it simple and some less computer savy users will appreciate this.

Games

This thing has a create launch line-up. One of the best ever actually! Let’s just hope it sells well and they keep this up! There are some good titles on the horizon, gravity rush comes to mind. I just hope this doesn’t become like the PSP, a port machine and a breeding ground for watered down console franchises (god of war lite, killzone lite, resistance lite etc. etc.)!!! The good news is that there is a large number of PSP titles that can be played about it. I won’t go over the failure that is the aborted N/A ambassador program!!! I just hope that PS1 games will be playable soon, Sony says it is coming (keep your figers crossed!!!) I would also recommend getting the downloadable Mutant Blob game, it’s a lot of fun! There are enough games to keep you busy and hopefully we will see some Japanese games become localized (come on Namco, give us Tales of Innocence R!!!!). It is a strong possibility due to the frosty reception Japan has given the PS Vita.

3G VS. WIFI

GO WIFI, I REPEAT, GO WIFI!!! The 3g is a waste, it require a data plan and you won’t be playing online. I have a samsung Galaxy s2 and can use the wifi hotspot (tethering) features to access the PS Store and online features on the go. If you’re thinking that you’re going to be playing games on the subway with the 3G feature, you’re simply kidding yourself. Use the extra money you’ll save to buy a larger memory card (you’ll want it!). Netflix works exceptionally well, but with 3g, I doubt you’ll be happy with it’s performance.
This thing is a marvel, I have a 3ds that I love. It has it’s own pros and cons, but the tech cannot hold a candle to the Vita. Nintendo has always been about great games, not necessarily the best tech. If Sony can learn from it’s mistakes with the PSP and focus on games, this thing is unstoppable! It has endless potential, let’s hope Sony uses it!

Amazon coupon codes for PS Vita

More people use PS Vita coupons and buy it. Cheaper, and save so they give more great reviews for it. One a customer from Newyork give reviews: As an owner of a 3ds and ps vita, I have to say that the vita is much better. The joysticks are better, the screen is not even close for the 3ds and the games overall have been better for the vita with the exception of super mario 3ds and resident evil revelations. Those two games are amazing, but other than those two titles the vita games are way better and more advanced. Lets put it this way, I haven’t touched my 3ds since I bought a vita.
I think you are completely satisfied with Amazon ps vita coupons as well as the handheld gaming machine. Buy it now and enjoy.
