Android Ice Cream Sandwich coming to Motorola Droid Razr and Razr Maxx

Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is one delicious treat that most Android phone users are really craving.

The first Android phone to run on Google’s latest version of Android was the Samsung Galaxy Nexus on Verizon Wireless.  AT&T was the first carrier to upgrade a current Android ddevice to Ice Cream Sandwich with the HTC Vivid 4G.

Now, We’ve obtained a screen shot from Best Buy’s internal staff site detailing when Verizon Wireless plans to update the DROID RAZR, DROID RAZR Maxx and Rezound to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. We most recently heard that the update would be hitting international RAZR devices during the second quarter but that the U.S. deployment was “still under evaluation.” The good news is it looks like you’ll be getting Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in just a few days. According to the shot above, DROID RAZR and DROID RAZR MAXX owners can expect the update on April 4th while the HTC Rezound will receive the update on April 6th.

Android ICS adds a ton of enhancements, most notably a vastly improved user interface. Hopefully we don’t see any delays between now and next week.
