Sprint to unveil HTC Evo One?

Many of you are waiting for the HTC One X to be released, one of the new wave of quad-core processor smartphones. In the U.S AT&T will be the first carrier to release this handset but we already knew that it was coming to Sprint as well. Today we have heard that the HTC One X may be renamed the HTC EVO One for Sprint.

Sprint is aiming to start carrying LTE smartphones for its upcoming LTE network and although the AT&T HTC One X is rumored for a May release, Sprint already told how its variant would not be arriving until the summer. Recently we told how the Sprint variant was codenamed the Jet and gave a rumored release date of June 10 but it now seems the HTC EVO One title is far more likely.

Other goodies on this rumored device are a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Krait CPU, 4.7-inch OLED screen, 16GB of internal memory plus micro SD Card expansion slot, and 2,650 mAh battery. Rounding out the package are 8 Megapixel rear and 2 Megapixel front cameras, and Beats audio. All the hardware will be run by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and HTC's latest Sense 4.0 UI.

It all sound pretty impressive and we'll certainly be on hand at Sprint and HTC's joint press event on April 4th. Be sure to stay tuned. In the meantime check out HTC's latest marketing fluff heralding the HTC One's imminent US arrival.
